Hey guys, I just wanted to remind everyone that Brian Cooney will be at NTC this week, Tuesday - Friday and possibly Saturday, 7 p.m. and Sunday service! If you do not know who he is, he came to NTC about a month ago, he is a very anointed worship leader and you can Google info on him. I am extremely excited for this week! Hope to see you there!

Hey everyone. I received an email tonight from Jess that Brian Ramsdell WILL be speaking this Friday. She called the camp where he is working and spoke with the director to get him to be able to come!! She has asked the youth to be fasting and praying that day so if you feel led, join in. I am totally excited and hope to see you guys there!!

Message from Jess' facebook:

BRIAN RAMSDELL IS OFFICIALLY SHARING AT CROSS CURRENT FRIDAY AT 7PM. COME ONE COME ALL! I'm so excited for what God is going to do. Young adults and youth are all invited. I think he is supposed to share before Brian Cooney comes up next week and God blows the roof off!

I have recently been informed that Brian will not be speaking this Friday. However, YA has still been invited to meet with the youth.

However, Next Friday (August14th) at the DOC (Cross Current) Brian Ramsdell will be speaking about the awesome things God is doing in his life. If you do not know Brian, he is 18 and a wicked cool guy. Jess Hurlbut invited the Young Adults to come hear him speak. I think its going to be an awesome time and would be great to see you guys there!

Hey everyone! We will be meeting on Thursday, August 6th at 7 for prayer again. Hope you can make it......I am so totally excited to see the direction our church is headed in and I think as young adults it is important for us to be involved. One way we can do that is through prayer. Have a great next few weeks.....and remember "Its a BRAND NEW DAY!!"

Hey y'all! I hope this message finds you doing well. Its been a while since we got together! This Friday we will be having prayer at NTC at 7. The agenda for the meeting is solely prayer. As Mr. Hurlbut said last Thursday night, "If we call ourselves Christians than we are all to pray and intercede" Hope to see you there!

What does it look like to be the hands and feet?

Please comment with your thoughts.

Young adults, we will be meeting this Friday night, 7 p.m., at the church. If everyone could meet at the front of the sanctuary that would be great. Brittany Groebler will be sharing with us something along the lines of "information without revelation". We then plan to have a bit of worship. We want to pray for each other during this time as well, so if there is anything you need prayer about let us know as we want to keep each other in prayer. Afterward, perhaps we can hit up Italian Affair or somewhere. I look forward to seeing everyone!

Young adults, we will be getting together this Saturday at the Curry's house, at 7 p.m. It will be our first of four meetings this semester. If you are unsure as to how to get there or if you need a ride, let me know by either calling me or leaving a message on here. This get together will be more of a time to catch up, perhaps we will play a game or something along those lines. I look forward to seeing everyone!

Something to think about and comment on if you wish.

The past few weeks something has been on my heart that perhaps the young adult community can grab on to. I am sorry if I am confusing!

I am student teaching this semester and it is going well. I learn so much from the kids. But something in particular has stood out to me. A few weeks ago, during recess, one of the students drew a picture. The picture was of a broken heart.... at first I did not think much of it, as kids draw things like that all the time. But later that night I started to think about it again. The drawing was so out of character for this student, as he tends to be a tough, draw pictures of aliens, or video game characters, kind of kid. Then for some reason I started to think about us, not just the young adults, but the Christian community as a whole.

There are so many broken people in this world, I really felt like that picture represented so many things; the lost, the hurting, the brokenness of the people in this town, from the adults all the way down to the 6, 7, and 8 year - olds. I feel like it also represents how our hearts should be for them, broken and ripped apart because they do not know truth or they choose to ignore it. If perhaps we could grasp onto this, and pray to God to give us a heart that is broken for this town, this country, and this world, we would see change. If we would pray for a heart that would love these people so much that we really would pray for them, that we really would go out of way for them, we would see people healed and life restored.

I really do feel as though this young adult community has the ability to put action to words and I am excited to see what God does with it!
